Objectives and Tasks of Touch Austria - Österreichischer Touch Verband
Promotion of Touch in Austria
The Austrian Touch Association (Touch Austria) aims to promote and spread the sport of Touch in Austria.
Representation of member clubs and regional Touch associations
Touch Austria represents member clubs and regional Touch associations towards foreign Touch federations and organizations. It is the sole representative of the sport of Touch in Austria to the Federation of International Touch (F.I.T).
Organisation of competitions and a League
Touch Austria organises the ATL (Austrian Touch League) and competitions and issues regulations as entitled by its constitutions.
Referee Development
The Association oversees and supports Referee training and development. (for the next Level 1 referee course see here)
Coach Development
Touch Austria is organising and promoting Coach courses.
Youth Development
National Teams
The Association forms the Austrian National Representative Touch Teams by selecting and supporting the teams.

Members of Touch Austria can be clubs or divisions of Clubs.
Executive Committee - Who are we?
The function of the Touch Austria Interim Executive Committee is to oversee the implementation of a fully fledged committee which will be responsible for implementing the goals of the Touch Austria Constitution and initial targets of the associated 3 year work plan. This committee will be valid for 12 months from the date of official registration of the association of Touch Austria, which was 11th of September 2009.
President - Dan Travers
Dan, a New Zealander, has been living in Austria for 7 years and founded Austria’s first Touch club in 2006. With a particular focus on developing the sport amongst native Austrians through the establishment of a Sports University Touch course, Dan has given Touch a good basis for the future.
Secretary/Vice President - Hans Peter Hoellwerth
Hans, an Austrian, was Austrias first Level 1 F.I.T qualified Referee and has been appointed as the National Director of Referees. He was a product of the USI Touch Sports University course and has been proactive in the development of Touch amongst native Austrians over the past 2 years.
Treasurer - Brett Barclay
Brett, a New Zealander married to an Austrian, has been in Austria for 5 years. He founded the ACC Touch club in 2008. In 2009 he developed the first Austrian Touch League (ATL) and also began kids Touch training.
