The Bavarian Alpine Cup Touch Tournament was held in Munich on Sat 9th August, 2008.

The 7 teams were: Vienna, Munich, Munich Barbarians, Munich Rugby Club, Cologne, Frankfurt and Prague.

The quickie: 
-Vienna won 3 of their 6 games.
-5 of the players were USI students and they played outstandingly considering it was thier first ever tournament - 3 of them scored 1 or more tries.
-The 5 girls ensured there were 3 girls on field at all times which was pretty tough:SIX games = 2.5 hours of playing!
-Hans, Michy and Dan reffed 3 games and Dan became a qualified Level 1 FIT Referee to join Hans as being all official and stuff.
-The after party was pretty cool, with USI Michy even rocking the house with the Band, singing/playing Nirvana and Oasis...
-Michy P. scored too many tries to count, his playing was especially good.
-Marek was awesome as a playmaker playing his best Touch ever and scored a try also and set up quite a few others. 
-Niki was a great leader on/off the field keeping things together (even sending many of us drunkards home before we emabarrassed ourselves even more..).
-Kathi was the "Vienna Wall" on defence stopping pretty much every person who tried to get past her(..and her neighbouring players..). 
-Tom surprised all at his speed and saved a few certain tries and even got one himself. 
-Dan pulled his calf muscle in the 1st game and hardly played at all, but he does have a shiney new flash Ref badge to bring back to Austria.
-Suzy worked on the wing and as usual was the last Vienna person standing at the AfterParty.
-Hans was our Captain and as usual was a steam train with his 3 man drives to give our team some go forward up the field. 
-Andreas recieved our player of the Day award, his 2 tries were excellent, and one of them won the game in the last minute against Munich Barbarians with a fine indiviual side step effort to score.
-Marine scored 2 (maybe 3..?) tries and showed that she was a fighter with the ball.
-Hemma scored a try on the wing and would have scored another had Dan given her a better pass.
-Georg was like the Energizer Bunny and did very well on Defence and even was commented on by the Australian Coach of Colonge team (the Tournament winners) who said "that fella has an amazing sidestep mate!" after he beat 3 experienced colonge players.
-USI Michy worked hard on defence and ALWAYS ran backwards (never turned his back) to get back his 5 meters and defended well. He got penalised 5 times with the infamous "Dangerous Pint" Munich Beer Police and did Vienna proud by drinking them all - some of them were 1 litre Mass beers...

Thanks to Hans and Michy P. for organising the whole thing from the Vienna side, very very well. This was one of the best atmospheres of any tournament and everyone was pretty happy, and had fun as well as playing the best they have ever played. It was pretty amazing to see how well the team played considering the new players, and considering we were playing some of the best players and teams in Germany and we definately got alot better as the day went on. 

Hans delegated to USI Michy the most important task of Sheriff and fines (strafe) were given for the most ridiculous reasons (e.g. Michy P. looking too hansome in his afterparty hat) and therefore we had enoough money at the end of the day to pay for our dinner. Hans the Captain was naturally a target for being fined and paid the most. Its tough at the top Hans...

Yes so that was the Tournament, we had fun 
and we all played like Legends and we rule.
